FireChief comes in several models each suitable for a different size home or application. FireChief wood or coal burning furnaces can be used as a highly efficient stand alone heating source or as a supplemental heating source in larger homes to an existing natural gas, kerosene or electric furnace. When used as an add on heat source, the FireChief simply sits side by side with the existing furnace and attaches easily and directly to the existing ductwork with little modification.

First the FireChief three hundred Wood burning furnace, yes I said wood because the three hundred is a wood only furnace designed to be a large home supplemental heat source or a stand alone natural fuel heating system in homes up to twelve hundred square feet.
The three hundred has an eight inch round heat outlet that easily installs to existing ductwork without expensive sheet metal work. It has a large pre-wired thermostatically controlled blower and convenient spin draft air controls, plus an easy access ash removal tray.
The FireChief 500 burns both wood or coal and heats up to two thousand square feet. The 500 is the first in the FireChief line to implement the patented cast iron roller grate for maximum heating efficiency. Each roller grate comes with an exclusive lifetime warranty! The 500 has a twelve inch round heat outlet that easily installs to existing ductwork without expensive sheet metal work and uses a six inch flu. It comes standard with a thermostatically controlled draft induction blower. One so efficient and revolutionary that it may now be found in every new gas furnace produced today. The 500 burns logs up to twenty-two inches.
The FireChief 700 is our most popular model, with all the same features and operation as the 500, including a 1/3 horsepower three speed blower motor that movers eighteen hundred cubic feet of hot air per minute. It burns logs up to 28 inches and heats homes up to twenty-eight hundred square feet.
Our top of the line FireChief eleven hundred heats up to five thousand five hundred square feet of home efficiently with all the same standard features. It connects easily to an eight inch flu and burns logs up to thirty-four inches.
In addition to it’s unique and standard features, What makes FireChief the most efficient natural fuel heating source available is it’s incredible secondary ignition system.
Airflow to fuel the fire enters through the thermostatically controlled three speed induction blower or draft at a 15 degree down angle that is diffused into and below the fire. Fuel air that goes under the fire goes up the back of the furnace unit and is again diffused towards the fire out and up through the rear cast iron baffle.
Smoke is a gas of unburnt matter and ash, the infusion of this oxygen into the ultraheated smoke in the upper rear of the furnace creates a spontaneous secondary combustion, eliminating the gas and releasing a minimal clean white smoke up the flu.
